Live proof of reserves

Every ZAR8 in circulation, shown against the reserves that back it.

Two figures, read directly from the chain: how many ZAR8 tokens exist, and the most recently attested reserve balance. The ratio between them is published here — updated as attestations land, and qualified whenever the data can't be verified.

Test network
These figures come from a test network. They are simulated and do not represent real reserves, real customer funds, or a real backing ratio. Use the main-network view for production data.

How this page works

In plain language — where each number comes from and how it's checked.

01
On-chain supply
The total supply of ZAR8 is read straight from the token contract with a public eth_call (totalSupply). No 80Eight server sits between you and this number.
02
Attested reserves
The reserve figure is published on-chain (reservesCents) and read the same way. It reflects the most recent attestation recorded to the registry contract.
03
Backing ratio
The ratio is attested reserves ÷ circulating supply at the ZAR8 peg. At or above 100% means reserves meet or exceed tokens in circulation.
04
Freshness & failover
Both values come through a redundant RPC pool. If a source reports NOT_ATTESTABLE or stale, or every endpoint is unreachable, this page shows the last verified figures with their timestamp — never a fresh-looking green status.
Attestor model
Quorum · 1‑of‑1

Reserves are currently confirmed by a single attestor. The attestation quorum is 1-of-1.

While a single attestor is in effect, 80Eight does not describe these attestations as independent, multi-attestor, or 2-of-2.

Attestation ladder · roadmap

Independent 2-of-2 attestation is on the roadmap. When a second, independent attestor goes live and the quorum moves to 2-of-2, that upgrade will appear here, publicly, and this section will be updated to match.
